POW/MIA

Chapter 552 actively supports the call for a full accounting of all our Prisoners of War and Missing In Action service members.  Several members of our chapter have been walking the beaches of St. Petersburg for more than 20 years with their American Flags and POW/MIA Flags, keeping the awareness alive. We have also been waving those same flags at the entrances to our local veterans hospital for more than 5 years on POW/MIA Day.

The number of Americans still missing or unaccounted for as of December 10th, 2015 was 1,624. The table below shows a breakdown by state. As of April, 2016 the total stood at 1,621.
